What is a "Sponsor Springer"?

Through the English Springer Spaniel Rescue America,
you can sponsor special needs Springers. When they are in good health,
they are put up for adoption! It wouldn't be possible
without their sponsors.

This is Riley, a springer suffering from Heartworms and ehrlichiosis (tick disease).

UPDATE: 09/06 Riley has graduated and he has found his Forever Home!



This is Lexie, a springer suffering from major skin rashes and a pinched spinal cord.

UPDATE: 2/16/06 Lexie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Rest peacefully sweet angel.



This is Pedro, a springer puppy rescued from a puppy mill.
He wasn't expected to live, but he did. You can just imagine how many problems he has,
coming from such a terrible place.

UPDATE: 12/06 Pedro has graduated and has been adopted by his foster parents!



This is Sawyer, a young springer suffering from heart worms, massive ear infections,
and PRA (progressive retinal atrophy).

UPDATE: 3/06 Sawyer has graduated and he has found his Forever Home!



This is Asheni, a senior springer that was found stray. He has many problems,
he is skinny, needs a teeth cleaning, has a tumor and a heart murmur.

UPDATE: 11/06 Asheni was helped over the Rainbow Bridge. Rest peacefully old man.



This is Wylie, a 10yr old springer with terminal cancer. He is living out his last days
in a foster home,we pray for him to be free of pain for as long as possible.

UPDATE: 03/03/07 Wylie has crossed over to the Rainbowbridge. Run again, free of pain, sweet old man!

  

"The Missouri Fourteen"
Shown in the picture are some of the fourteen springers rescued by ESRA from a "backyard
breeder" in Missouri. They were all full of mats, unsocialized and very frightened. They had all had
litter after litter. Thanks to ESRA they are now in foster care, being spayed & neutered, and are
well on their way to finding good forever homes!



This is Mandy, one of the dogs rescued from the "Missouri Fourteen".
This poor girl has a benign tumor on her neck which has effected her saliva gland, a result
of trauma to the neck. Mandy is just starting to learn what being a dog is all about.

UPDATE: 02/07 Mandy has graduated and has been adopted to her Forever Home!



This is Sadie, a five month old springer puppy. She was rescued from a puppy
mill in Missouri, and was soon after diagnosed with a heart murmur and PDA.
She has had her surgery and is recovering nicely in her foster home, but donations
are still needed to cover the cost of the expensive care.

UPDATE: 04/07 Sadie has graduated and has been adopted to her Forever Home!



This is Mollie, a 2 year old girl. She was born with a bad case of
hip dysplasia. She has had surgery and is well on her way to recovery.

UPDATE: 08/07 Mollie has graduated and has been adopted to her Forever Home!



This is Darcy, a 4 year old girl. She was brought to a shelter, then picked up
by rescue with an open wound on her head, and injuries to her shoulder and legs.
She was the victim of a brutal dog attack.

This is Mr. Spot, a young springer boy suffering from hip dysplasia.
He has had his surgery and is doing well.
